Karol Barahona was born and grew up in Tela, Honduras, and graduated from the Holy Spirit Episcopal Bilingual School in Tela in 1997. She now lives in Alpharetta, Georgia.
James D'León is a concert pianist who lives in Prescott, Arizona. He was graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia with a B.A. in music in 1992, and an M.A. in music in 1994. In 1997, he took his Ph.D. in Music from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. He and his wife, América Valeria Sandoval, have a son, Alessandro.
James (Jamie) Foster grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, and was graduated in 1994 from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. In 2001, he took his M.A. in International Affairs, concentrating in Latin America, from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He is now a Ph.D. candidate in geography at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin.
Kelly Harper González grew up in Lenoir City, Tennessee. In 1995, she taught various high school classes at the Holy Spirit school. She took an M.A. in social work from the University of Tennessee in 1997, and now does social work in and around Knoxville, Tennessee.
Nancy Gravley Martin of Springfield, Virginia is treasurer of BiSTA. She holds a B.A. in Religion from Wake Forest University. She is familiar with small non-profits from her work with The Central Kentucky Arts Series in Campbellsville, Kentucky. CKAS is a community arts programming provider with a volunteer board of directors where she served for eighteen years. She served for ten years as secretary/treasurer and membership campaign chairman.
